Children’s Ministry Summer Intern

Our Children’s Ministry is seeking one summer intern (approximately 30 hours per week) from May – August to focus on building relationships with children and families, weekly Sunday school, FL Annual Conference Kids Camp, Vacation Bible School, Warren Willis Summer Camp and other summer events. This internship will provide a scholarship amount of $4500.  Housing may be possible here in Lakeland if needed during the summer. Candidates should be discerning a call into ministry as a vocation, preferably with children, and have completed at least one year of college. They should have a love for children and families, teaching, planning and organizational skills, and pass background and reference checks.

Youth Ministry Summer Intern

Our Youth Ministry is seeking one summer intern (approximately 30 hours per week) from May–August to focus on relationship building, special events, and planning regular Connect Sunday night youth group and Sunday morning Donuts and Discussions. This internship will provide a scholarship amount of $4,500 towards your education. Housing may be a possibility here in Lakeland. Candidates should be a Youth Ministry Major/Minor and be an incoming Junior or Senior in college. Financial Services: Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper provides support in all areas of general ledger maintenance and church related banking including deposits, transfers, and bank reconciliations.

Lead Teacher – First Steps Preschool

First Steps Preschool at First United Methodist Church has an opening for a full-time Lead Teacher. A Lead Teacher plays a leading role in planning, teaching, and organizing age-appropriate classroom activities and is responsible for total classroom operation. Other duties may be assigned which are not listed.
