Dying to Live Devotional Guide

Rev. Dr. Charley Reeb   -

Weekly Text: John 12:24-25

Monday: What does the metaphor of the grain of wheat mean to you in your personal life? Are there areas in your life where you feel called to let go or make sacrifices for spiritual growth?

Tuesday: How do you interpret the statement “Anyone who loves their life will lose it”? What might Jesus be suggesting about our priorities? In what ways can loving God and others lead to a transformation in how we view our own lives?

Wednesday: How does viewing your life from an eternal perspective change your current priorities or decisions? What are some practical steps you can take to cultivate a life that reflects the values of the Kingdom of God?

Thursday: How can you support each other in making sacrifices that may not seem immediately rewarding but lead to greater spiritual fruitfulness? Share experiences where you’ve seen God bring new life or growth from a situation of loss or sacrifice.

Friday: Spend time in prayer, asking God for the courage to surrender areas of your life that may be holding you back from experiencing the fullness of life in him. Pray for each other as you navigate these challenges and seek to live out the truth of this scripture in your daily lives.

Prayer: Lord, help us to embrace the call to die to ourselves so that we may bear much fruit. Teach us to release our grip on earthly desires and find our true life in you. May our sacrifices lead to transformation and growth for your Kingdom. Amen.
