The Power of Love Devotional Guide

Weekly Text: John 15:9-17

Monday: Jesus speaks about love as a foundational aspect of our relationship with him. Reflect on how you experience God’s love in your life. How does this love influence your daily actions and interactions with others?

Tuesday: Jesus mentions that his joy may be in us and that our joy may be complete. Consider the relationship between obedience and joy. How does following Jesus’ commands bring you joy? Are there areas where you struggle to obey, and how might this affect your joy?

Wednesday: Jesus refers to his followers as friends rather than servants. What does it mean to you to be called a friend of Jesus? How does this understanding change your perspective on your relationship with him?

Thursday: Jesus commands us to love each other as he has loved us. Reflect on what this kind of love looks like in practical terms. Are there specific relationships in your life where this command is challenging? How can you actively demonstrate this love?

Friday: Jesus emphasizes that we are appointed to bear lasting fruit. What does “bearing fruit” mean to you in your spiritual journey? What steps can you take to ensure that your life produces fruit that reflects God’s love and purpose? Choose one practical way to show love to someone, whether through an act of kindness, a word of encouragement, or a selfless gesture. Reflect on how this aligns with Jesus’ command and how it might deepen your relationship with him and others.
