A Church On Mission Devotional Guide

Rev. Dr. Charley Reeb   -

Monday: Read Matthew 28:16-17. Worship is the starting point of our mission. It aligns our hearts with God’s purpose and empowers us for the tasks ahead. How does worship prepare us to fulfill the Great Commission? What role does worship play in your personal faith journey?

Tuesday: Read Matthew 28:18. Jesus’ authority enables us to be effective witnesses. Our actions and words should reflect his love and truth. What does it mean to witness in your everyday life? Share a time when witnessing made a significant impact on someone.

Wednesday: Read Matthew 28:19. Discipleship is a communal journey. We grow not only individually but also as a church family. How can we foster a culture of growth within our church? What steps can you take to grow in your faith this week?

Thursday: Read Matthew 28:20. Giving encompasses our time, talents, and resources. It is a tangible expression of our commitment to the mission. In what ways can you give to support the church’s mission? How does giving reflect your worship and witness?

Friday: Read Matthew 28:19-20. The Great Commission calls us to actively live out our faith through worship, witnessing, growing, and giving. How can you integrate all four pillars of the mission into your daily life? What specific action will you take this week to fulfill the Great Commission?

Prayer: Eternal God, thank you for the call to be a part of your mission. Help us to worship you wholeheartedly, witness to your love boldly, grow together in faith, and give generously. May our lives reflect your purpose as we strive to fulfill the Great Commission. Empower us to live out your vision to make disciples in our communities. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
