Faithfully Forward with Joy Devotional Guide
Weekly Text: Philippians 3:12-14
Monday: Consider how Paul expresses the idea of pressing on. Joy often comes from the journey rather than just the destination. What does pressing on mean to you in your spiritual journey?
Tuesday: Paul emphasizes forgetting what is behind. This can be challenging but essential for joy. What past experiences do you need to let go of to embrace joy in the present?
Wednesday: The goal is not just a prize but a relationship with Christ. Joy is found in this relationship. How does your relationship with Christ contribute to your sense of joy?
Thursday: Paul writes to the Philippians as a community. Joy is often amplified in fellowship. How can you share joy with others in your community this week?
Friday: Recognize the progress you’ve made, however small. Joy can be found in acknowledging growth. What progress have you made in your spiritual journey that you can celebrate?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the joy that comes from pursuing you and pressing on toward the goal you have set before us. Help us to let go of our past and embrace the future with hope and determination. May we find strength in our journey and delight in the relationship we have with you. Fill our hearts with joy as we strive to fulfill your purpose in our lives.
