There will be two worship opportunities to give thanks in this season. One will be online and the other will be on our front lawn. Details for each service are below.
Sunday November 22, 4pm • Interfaith Community Service via Zoom
Temple Emanuel, Lakeland, Florida is sponsoring a community interfaith Thanksgiving Service, “Finding Thankfulness From Day to Day”, on Sunday November 22, 2020 at 4pm via Zoom. Rabbi David Goldstein of Temple Emanuel, Pastor John Fullerton of First Presbyterian Church, Pastor Scott Thomas of Free Life Chapel, Reverend David McEntire of First United Methodist Church and Father Timothy Labo of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will be among clergy from local area churches who will be taking part in the service. In addition, songs will be performed by Temple Emanuel’s guest cantor, Victor Geigner accompanied by Sharon Lakin on the piano. Local dignitaries to include Mayor of Lakeland, Bill Mutz, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and a representative of the Lakeland Police Department will also speak. The public is encouraged and welcome to join this event.

Wednesday November 25, 6:30pm • Thanksgiving Eve Service on the Lawn
We continue our congregational tradition of Thanksgiving Eve worship with a service on the front lawn. Bring your own chair, wear your mask, and join us for this special service of thanksgiving. Participants will be able to share their prayers of thanksgiving as we worship together.
