Aldersgate House

The Aldersgate House is where many church and community organization meetings take place.


This parking lot is accessible from Walnut Street. Closest to the Church Administrative Offices and Sanctuary, this lot has paved and grass parking and parking for those with special needs.

Members of the church and their immediate family may wish to consider our Columbarium, a beautiful open-air structure on the church grounds overlooking Lake Morton. Composed of niches that contain cremated remains, each niche includes a bronze name plaque with the deceased's name, date of birth and date of death. Interment can be done before or after a memorial service or at a separate time. For information about the columbarium, contact Maggie Trask ( or 863-686-3163).

Front Lawn

The Front Lawn is the site of our annual Pumpkin Patch and home to special events throughout the year.


Our playground is enjoyed by children who participate in Sunday School, Children's Ministries events and students at our First Steps Preschool.

C Building

The C Building is the location for most adult Sunday School classrooms, Children's Ministries, the First Steps Preschool and "Our Giving Tree" Bookstore and Gift Shop.

Welcome Center

The Welcome Center is on the first floor of the C Building and is the location of our Second Sunday church-wide gatherings. It also contains the "Our Giving Tree" Bookstore and Gift Shop.

"Our Giving Tree" Bookstore and Gift Shop

Giving life to missions is the mission statement of the “Our Giving Tree” Bookstore and Gift Shop. The shop is entirely volunteer-staffed. Stop in and browse unique and hand-crafted fair-trade items from around the world and American-made items, too. Home and kitchen decor, hand-made dish ware, baskets, jewelry, scarves, handbags, delicious chocolates and gourmet coffees are just a few of the items you will find.

Fountain Courtyard


The Sanctuary is where the 8:15am and 11am traditional worship services take place, along with special events, funerals and weddings.

Fellowship Center

The Fellowship Center is where the 9:30am and 11:20am contemporary worship services take place, along with Wednesday evening dinners and other events.

E Building

The E Building contains our Music and Fine Arts Department, Choir Room and classrooms utilized by ministries of the church.

Entrance to First Steps Preschool

The First Steps Preschool at First United Methodist Church offers a loving, caring environment for children age six weeks though pre-kindergarten. Also a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) provider, First Steps provides lower child-teacher ratios and room capacities than required by Florida Statutes. Recognized as a Gold Seal Quality Care Center by the Florida Department of Children and Families, First Steps also received the highest rating possible by the United Methodist Association of Preschools (UMAP). F Building

The F Building is the location of  One United Youth Ministry activities and Neighborhood Ministries, a free outreach to at-risk children in our community.

Church Administrative Office

The Church Administrative Office is where our pastoral offices are located, along with the offices of Adult Ministries, Children's Ministries, Mission Ministries, Newcomer Ministries, our Communications Department, the Church Receptionist, Church Administrator and church Financial Department.


With a beautiful view of Lake Morton, the Patio is used for weddings, church-wide events and the Easter Sunrise Service.

B Building

The B Building contains the office of our Media Coordinator and the Christian Education Resource Library.


The Parlor is used for meetings, classes, receptions and more.


The Chapel is an intimate worship space often used for studies, small weddings, funerals and special events like our December 31 Watch Night Service.


Our Gymnasium is utilized by our One United Youth Ministry and Neighborhood Ministries programs and for other events.

Children's Clothes Closet

The Children’s Clothes Closet began in 1978 as an outreach of the First United Methodist Church United Methodist Women. Annually this ministry supplies nearly 2,000 homeless and at-risk infants, children and teens in our community with everyday clothing, school uniforms, personal care kits and more. Accessible from Walnut Street, these special needs parking spaces are closest to the Fellowship Center.

Parking (Back)

This lot, often referred to as the back parking lot, features a combination of grass and paved parking. Easily accessed from Walnut Street, it is convenient parking for the entire campus.


This grass parking lot is accessible from Walnut Street and is closest to the Gymnasium and F Building.

Special Needs Parking

Accessible from Vistabula Street, these special needs spaces are closest to the C, E and F Buildings, Welcome Center and "Our Giving Tree" Bookstore and Gift Shop.
