Salvation Army Lakeland – Mobile food pantry happens every first and third Thursday. We were on the ground floor of helping them establish this ministry in area once served by Kathleen UMC’s food pantry. Next opportunity to serve: August 6. Email Forrest to sign up.

July Collection Report
On July 16, we loaded a pickup truck and an SUV with the food donated and delivered it to the community food pantry at Mulberry UMC and the Called to Serve Farm Workers Pantry (also in Mulberry). This represents hundreds of meals for children, youth and adults who would otherwise go hungry.

Thank you to those who donated, sorted, packed, loaded and unloaded. Those helped may not know your name, but they know your heart. This is in addition to the extraordinary financial gifts this month to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home and the new Talbot House apartment complex for homeless families.

If you are interested in serving in this ministry and our other serve initiatives, please email Forrest White.
