Contemporary Worship Praise Band





The Praise Band has been an intricate part of the 9:40am Contemporary Worship service since it began in October, 1995.  Three "charter" members
of the band still sing and play regularly.  The worship leader and Praise
Band director, singer and lead guitarist, Dr. Waite Willis; Susan Wills, arranger, pianist, vocalist; and Chris Mayes, percussion, vocalist. 

The remaining original members are still a part of the worship team and play and sing occasionally: Lindsey Alley, Rebekah Wills Stephens, Patrick Willis, and Warren Willis.  Other current members include Gary Cleveland, Ivelisse De la Fe, Carol Gavin, Harriet Mayes, Kim Mayes, Holly Parrish,
Laura Pinner, Brett Rogers, Bobby Sloan, Mike Stasiak, and Charlie Wilson.  We are blessed to have a wonderful list of substitute singers and players
as well.

The Praise Band has played at different church functions as well as the
Men's Retreat at the United Methodist Camp in Leesburg, Florida.

Current instrumentation includes lead, electric and bass guitars; two keyboards, piano, drum set, percussion and various other instruments such as flute and harmonica.  Guest musicians are a regular part of the praise band which include violin, clarinet, English horn, saxophone, and others.
