Volunteer Team is Forming NOW!
Training to be a
Hospice Volunteer
20 Hour Training Class – free
Saturday, June 21 (8am - 2pm) & Sunday, June 22
(2pm – 6pm)
Saturday, June 28 (8am – 2pm) & Sunday, June 29 (2pm – 6pm)
Classes will be held at our Church - Church Team Liaison - Lynne Balliette
What Hospice Volunteers Can Do
“Be there” – listening and supporting
Errands and breaks for caregivers
Read
Play music or musical instrument
Help patient fulfill their hopes and dreams before they die
As a Member of our Church Team
You can be
assigned to a patient who is a church member
Assist the community by reaching out to non-members as a ministry of your
faith Assist members of our church find out about hospice services
What a Hospice Volunteer does NOT do
Medical
procedures; lifting or transporting patient
