Bible Studies & Small Groups





It is important that individuals study in fellowship with other Christians. Small groups allow a person to grow in his or her faith with the help of other people who can provide accountability and support.

Alpha

Alpha is a practical introduction to the Christian faith. Alpha provides a safe place for people to explore the big questions of life. No question is too big, too small, or too hostile.

The Gospel According to LOST

Join Erin Beall, our Duke Divinity summer intern. for an engaging exploration of the spiritual and theological themes of the blockbuster television series LOST.

Explore themes like Faith and Reason, Guilt, Fate, Connection / Quantum Spirituality, Institutional Religion and Salvation. Familiarity with LOST is helpful but not required. Whether you’ve seen every episode or none at all, you’ll find this to be an engaging and thought-provoking group.

Servants of Reconciliation: Christian Conflict Resolution

None of us are strangers to conflict. Conflict is a part of any human system, from the family to the workplace to the church. Learn how to handle it well. Rev. David Groves, a member of the FUMC Pastoral Care staff and a former Certified Mediator in the state of Florida, will be our guide in discovering how to handle conflict to facilitate healing and reconciliation.

Faithbuilders is an ongoing group of mostly 30-somethings, both single and married. Together we enjoy Bible Study, social events, fellowship, and lots of fun! New people are always welcome to join us!

Young Couples

Band of Brothers

This group of guys meets to discuss issues of faith and daily life, action movies, ethical issues and scripture. In addition to their weekly study, they sponsor service projects and plan trips and outings. They are always ready to welcome new brothers!
