2011 Annual Golf Tournament | Sat, Jun 11


Last year's first annual "Drive for Missions Golf Tournament" focused on raising funds to help after the Jan earthquake in Haiti.  Tournament proceeds of $ 3,250 went to Haiti via the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).  While the tournament was fun, the outcome was nothing short of miraculous!

This year's tournament proceeds will support the mission work of Rev. Nicholas Mutwiri, an outstanding evangelist, in building the Nyahururu Methodist Church and congregation in Myahururu, Kenya.  We look forward to another successful tournament in keeping with the energy that made last year such a wonderful event.  So, it is in this spirit we ask for your participation as a sponsor, golfer, volunteer, or through prayer. As with many of God's works, it is made possible through His people!

Tournament format will be a 4 person scramble.  Registration begins at 7am on Sat, Jun 11 and a shotgun start will commence at 8am.  A banquet unch will be served at the clubhouse following the tournament.  The location of the tournament is Schalamar Golf and Country Club located off Hwy 92 in Auburndale. The cost per team is $ 200 with lunch included.  Please see attached sign in sheet for sponsorship information and to sign up your team.
