Meet Our Associate Pastor   Rev. June Pinner Edwards, our Associate Pastor, is a Florida native and Lakeland High School graduate. Her husband of 30 years, Steve, a Lakeland native and also an LHS graduate, is a general contractor in Ocala. June's parents are residents of Lakeland and long-time members of College Heights United Methodist Church. June is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in elementary education. After answering a call to ministry (and as a mother of three young children), she received a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, Orlando. She has served two churches in the Ocala area during the past nine years. June most recently was senior pastor at Druid Hills United Methodist in Ocala and began serving First UMC, Lakeland on July 1, 2007. June and Steve have three daughters; Margie who is married and has a master’s degree in art therapy from New York University; Rachel (recently engaged) has a master’s in social work from Florida State University and works in Business Development for Edwards Construction Services in the Orlando office; and Emily who has completed an associate degree from Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville and entered the University of Florida in the fall, 2007.
