Meet Our Executive Pastor   Rev. June Pinner Edwards, our Executive Pastor, is a Florida native and Lakeland High School graduate. Her husband of over 30 years, Steve, also a Lakeland native and an LHS graduate, is a general contractor in Ocala. June's parents are residents of Lakeland and long-time members of College Heights United Methodist Church. June is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in elementary education. After answering a call to ministry (and as a mother of three young children), she received a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary, Orlando. She served two churches in the Ocala area during the a nine year period. June most recently was senior pastor at Druid Hills United Methodist in Ocala and began serving First UMC, Lakeland on July 1, 2007. June and Steve have three daughters; Margie who is married and has a master’s degree in art therapy from New York University; Rachel, married with one infant son, has a master’s in social work from Florida State University and works in Business Development for Edwards Construction Services in the Orlando office; and Emily who is finishing her senior year at the University of Florida.
