As an art form, these windows delight the viewer, but they also serve to instruct and illuminate the faithful. The great parables which illustrate the teachings and wisdom of Jesus are portrayed in the Chapel windows. As a definitive indication of the saving grace of God as revealed through His only Son, the Nave windows in the Sanctuary present the major events in the life of Christ: the Nativity, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension. The transept windows depict four great heroes of faith: Martin Luther who spawned the movement to cleanse the Medieval Church of its abuses and excesses; St. Paul who progressed from persecutor of the faith to spokesman for the faith; John Wesley who awakened the religious conscience of 18th century England and colonial America; Francis Asbury who brought the message of the historic faith to the frontiers of the New World. The Sanctuary windows were designed, executed and installed by the Mueller Stained Glass Studios, Zephyrhills, Florida, during the years 1955-1960.
The Chapel windows
were designed, executed, and installed by the Willet Stained Glass
Studio, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and were dedicated in a special
service on October 29, 1978, conducted by the Rev. David G. Hortin.
